Hello weevils!
From having a browse through twitter, I found what seemed to have been a picture of what is said to be moderator Swathe confirming that the classic King Of The Bin competition is returning.
Now of course, the picture did not prove the weevil itself being Swathe but from another saying 'swathe' in the picture and for the fact that the source (BinNation) seems trustworthy, I think it is okay to say that this is the real deal! Besides, this post isn't about not trusting or trusting sources afterall!
So, what do I think? Well for starters, I am overwhelmed that the team have finally responded in some way after 6 whole years of weevils showing immense anger towards it's removal. Moving on, I also feel quite splended at the fact that one of the game's biggest meaning is finally going to run another term but as always, I have my wits about what 55Pixels are doing.
For instance, the team in the past have indeed wrecked the littlest thing that was supposed to be a revival of a classic feature such as removing the multiplayer games in the return of Peel Park and the excitingly announced 'Ram's Arcade' being nothing but recycled grinding mini games which only have buddy leaderboards on. Also, from reading another trustworthy source, it seems that they kind of don't know themselves what we have meant after the long six year period:
I'm not sure about what is so hard about giving away a weekly crown, trophy in addition to a worldwide leaderboard (I mean, all community generations should enjoy it, what isn't to like?) but something tells me that what they mean by 'how it would work' is that they are thinking for what they believe the new generation wants which is vibrant colours flooded over an outside environment which contradicts the game's name. Who knows what they mean?
So with a lot of knowledge of how they work, I'm not keeping a celebration levelled excitement but It sure makes me want to see what happens next!
For K.O.T.B. to have the style the old players see it as and NOT the big middle finger up which shows they brought it back but did it in a way that they only want to stop the protests:
So there, I end, with holding on to hopes as this good old feature may see itself in the game once again. If they can bring it back in a way we like it (with no doubt the newer players would also like it) then it maybe worth having a play on it once again.
Thats it for this post!

For K.O.T.B. to have the style the old players see it as and NOT the big middle finger up which shows they brought it back but did it in a way that they only want to stop the protests:
- Classic Trophy - Nothing beats what it has been symbolized like since it's existance and having a new trophy wouldn't be the same (just like the doo-dah with the Nest Inspector)
- Purple Crown - The other crown was sadly declared worthless after being sold in Hem's Hats so at least using the still rare purple crown would be great (removing the other KOTB crown from Hem's would be good too!)
- Arcade Games - Adding the classic arcade to Kip's with all the original games would not also draw more attention to the Time Portal but would also give us the good old feeling we had back in the old bin and would also allow the newer generation to feel the joy too!
- Not too childish leaderboard - Adding the vibrant green, blue, purple and other modern used colours would really, really, really put us off and make us feel a more dull feeling towards the return. I'd recommend using or re-creating the old leaderboard or a similar style leaderboard. Who says it's not suitable for the new generation?
