Before I talk about this month on Bin Weevils, where the heck is the promised BETA access to Weevil World promised last month? Oh right, it's gone from coming in February to 'Coming Soon' in March! And why were only three issues of the disgraceful new Weevil Weekly published when 55Pixels promised four issues during February? Now that I have addressed the issues coming from last month, I can now move on.
This month was quite a shocker since it isn't exactly as much of an embarrassment like most of the months are. Let me start with the Garden Inspector's 'secret project'. This is no doubt the long demanded 'Harvest All' button is actually been lifted and created after an immense period of over two years of constantly suggesting this feature. The only problem with this is that a lot of the players that could have done with it at the time no longer play due to frustration of the damage done by 55Pixels and so not many are even going to use the feature now that the game population reaches it's new low. It's a shame that they bring it out now since I could have really done with that back when I used to play the game a lot and playing as a Bin Tycoon.
55Pixels have also released another new batch of nest items where the theme of the items would be much better as a garden item but it seems as if we need more nest items YET AGAIN! The only new garden items I've seen throughout these years were the same old new years firework set edited so that it says the new upcoming year and new night club items haven't been released since the Fiesta event way back in 2013! But they keep on making the balance even more uneven by constantly releasing the same old category of items! It is cool to see them using the old font 'Andy' that they used back in the old bin - that sure brought back some good memories!
And then we have an extremely odd 2 Year Anniversary celebration for Sink's Ships (A.K.A. 55Pixels finding an excuse to try and populate the ghost town area of 'Sink's Submarine') which I find a stupid attempt of trying to make people use the area. The idea that 55Pixels never mentioned any form of anniversary for Bin Weevils itself just shows that they are not actually doing this for intentional celebration purposes. The use of these celebrity meet ups and a form of promotion for the Sink's Submarine nest items are literally making me feel like it is 2015 and this area has just came out. The concept of a half price sale for certain hats in Hem's Hats seems decent but the hats getting the discount aren't really going to be a really beneficial discount exactly. I mean, it's not like they are 9 feathered red Indian hats or large crowns...
Other than that, we have new collectable nest items, terrible promotions and even taking part in the event 'Red Nose Day' where the BBC affect even the school calendars into annually celebrating a day where you donate money thinking it will go to charity when in reality, over 80% is filling the pockets of tycoon billionaires who selfishly keep the money despite not needing it. We also have a St Patrick's Day event again but I really wonder whether Bin Weevils still get players from even as close as Ireland when it comes to overseas.
So overall, this month has both the shockers and the soppers - with the soppers generally only appearing in several of the previous month so I'd say there has been a slight good job this March. However, I really doubt 55Pixels are going to make things better month by month due to how it generally plays out (I'd say the 'Harvest All' button is just a red herring).
That's it for this post!
