Hello weevils!
With another great suggestion given by no other than Mr Macow, I have been able to create yet another post! This post revolves around the fantastically 'new' spring items that have been implemented onto Weevil World. Let's look at them, shall we?
With another great suggestion given by no other than Mr Macow, I have been able to create yet another post! This post revolves around the fantastically 'new' spring items that have been implemented onto Weevil World. Let's look at them, shall we?
So, unless your head has been under the rock for the past several years, you will notice that rather than coming up with something original which adapts to the environment of Weevil World, they have instead copied already existing items from Bin Weevils and have implemented them into Weevil World as their own spring nest items where I think that there are more copied nest items than completely brand new nest items overall. Just why 55Pixels?
And the biggest bummer of all of this is that they have the nerve to make these copied nest items MEMBER ONLY when items such as the mushroom stools can be purchased for 700 mulch on Bin Weevils WITHOUT MEMBERSHIP! So ok, an official games company that seeks to earn profits are promoting things that they made many years ago and making it so that you need real money to actually obtain these old items - is this just pure laziness or have they completely lost their artists just like how they've completely lost their flash designers?
The graphics themselves slightly match the graphics presented on Weevil World due to them being Spring based and thus very colourful but I don't think they're perfect enough to actually be a feature on there. And if you think about it, they are virtually selling the clip art images of 3D-like objects used in promoting the item on the Bin Weevils game for you to use as a genuine item meaning it really is weird and odd in a way.
Now I am not completely against the idea of porting one thing from one media to the other but when you don't bother actually creating many new things on the side of it along with the fact that the thing itself doesn't look right in the other environment, that is when it is very concerning. I understand that you have been working on loads of new Weevil World updates throughout the past few weeks but at the end of the day, your supposed to be a paid company and I reckon that you had loads of time to whip up several new two dimensional images that could have some form of representation of a Spring nest item for Weevil World! Had this been a not-for-profit private server, this would be acceptable but you are not.
Bin Weevils itself now has less than one month before it's domain expires and if you genuinely have no time for drawing, then maybe you ought to not keep Bin Weevils running; especially since there is actually nobody within the company who can actually add updates to it anymore!
And Weevil World itself really needs to just stand on it's own two feet rather than carrying on borrowing assets and blogs and what not from Bin Weevils.
That's it for this post!
